The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Cusco – Peru is the greatest adventure in South America. And classified as one of the best trekking in the world, you can see natural and cultural attractions.
Day 1
CUSCO – KM 82 – WAYLLABAMBA
The first day starts early, we pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 am to drive to Km82, a place where begins adventure. During the 2 hours path, we cross through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. A very famous Valley due it is the leading producer of vegetables in Cusco, besides hosting imposing Inca palaces and buildings. During the route, we stop for 30 minutes in Ollantaytambo village, where we have breakfast and meet the rest of the crew (porters). Once we arrive at km 82 we get ready all our stuff to start hiking, because this is the last point where the car will be with us. After we show the required permissions (entries to Inca Trail and Machupicchu, file`s porters) by the tour leader and your original passports we begin hiking. During the 3 first hours, you will observe the classic Andean landscape of varied flora and fauna until arrive at the archaeological complex of Llactapata, a place where we will have a briefing about the complex role of the Inca`s time for around 1 hour, also we will have lunch and then we will continue hiking 2 hours until arriving to our first campsite Wayllabamba (16:00 pm/ tents).
Day 2
WAYLLABAMBA-WARMIWAÑUSCA – PACAYMAYU
This will be the longest and hardest day, but at the same time, it will be a magnificent path due we will observe imposing snowcapped mountains and Peruvian puna`s unique landscapes. We will get up at 6:00 am and after an energetic and healthy breakfast we will begin hiking, For the first 4 hours, you will uphill until arriving at Warmiwañuska pass (dead woman pass) (4215 m or 13,828ft). We will have lunch and resting time, the last 2 hours will be downhill on a stone paved path until arriving at our second campsite (16:00 pm /Tents).
Day 3
PACAYMAYU- SAYACMARKA-WIÑAYWAYNA
This will be a magnificent day due you will have the opportunity to visit 4 Inca buildings that will have you astounded and all this, while you hike surrounded by a beautiful and magical landscape. We get up at 6:00 am and after an energetic and healthy breakfast we will start the adventure, the 2 first hours will be uphill until the archaeological complex of Runcuracay, located at 3700 m.a.s.l. After a guided tour we will continue hiking for another 2 hours to get to Sayacmarka where we will have lunch and resting. We will continue hiking until Puyupatamarca where we will have a short guided tour to continue hiking until our last campsite. On this last day in the afternoon we will have a small party with all crew (cooks and porters) we will give thanks to them for having made all their best for us. Due they will not go with us to Machupicchu. (2690 m.a.s.l)(Tents)
Day 4
WIÑAYWAYNA-MACHUPICCHU-CUSCO
This day will be for sure the most fascinating for you because you will see Machupicchu in all its glory from the sun gate. We get up at 3:00 am and after our breakfast, we will start hiking for 3 hours to the sun gate, from where we will see Machupicchu while it is illuminated by the first sunrays. In the sun gate, we will be for around 1 hour then we will descend toward one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Inside Machupicchu we will have 2 hours guided tour where you will visit the most remarkable places such as: el torreón semicircular, el templo de las tres ventanas, el intihuatana, el templo del cóndor, la sala de los morteros y el baño del inca. Then you will have free time to explore Machupicchu on your own or descend to Aguas Calientes (Lunch is not included). In the afternoon you will board the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, place from where you will be transported by tourist bus to Cusco.

- Backpack between 20 y 30 liters (a backpack with chest and waist strap, will help to distribute the weight and have side pockets for small items).
